The 8th alFresco filmFesto

The 2008 alFresco filmFesto season has now come to a close.

We look forward to announcing the 2009 lineup next spring.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on the Halifax waterfront to celebrate the fantastic experience f watching classic films outdoors under the stars.

 

The 2008 Line Up

The Atlantic Film Festival Association is proud to present the 2008 line-up of summer outdoor movie fun for the whole family! Whatever kind of movie experience you’re craving, we will be sure to dish it up this season!

alFresco screenings take place at the Tall Ships Quay, Halifax Waterfront, projected on the wall of the Electropolis building. Gates open at 8:00 PM with show time at 9:00 PM or dusk. Admission is a $5 donation to support this community event.

With concessions and contests, plenty of action and adventure, this open-air cinema has a unique festival atmosphere that must be experienced first-hand. You can even enter each night to win two nights accommodation for two at any Delta Hotel in Atlantic Canada, courtesy of Delta Barrington & Halifax.

alFresco-goers are asked to bring their own lawn chair or blanket for seating. In the case of heavy rain, screenings will be postponed until the next evening. Any rain date notices will be posted here by 3:00 PM on the day of the postponed screening.
