Box Office Team

Everything to do with ticket sales can be found here. The Box Office is also responsible for running the theatres and ensuring crowds are happy, informed and controlled.

 

Industry Box Office Assistant (Volunteer Leader)

You are an experienced, reliable and committed AFF volunteer who will provide support to the Industry Box Office and Festival Lounge staff. Working closely with the Box Office Manager, Industry Box Office Coordinator and Festival Lounge Coordinator, the Industry Box Office Assistant will be a front line representative for the Atlantic Film Festival Box Office, interacting with and supplying information to Delegates and general public.

Commitment: Minimum of six shifts throughout the festival. Please see Theater Manager posting for more details.

 

Theater Manager (Volunteer Leader)

You are an experienced, reliable and committed AFF volunteer who will be assigned to a theater and a team of volunteers to assure the smooth operation of screenings.  This is a critical posit ion that includes directing volunteer activities, communicating with box office regarding seating capacity and assuring reserved seating has been secured and introductions happen on time. You are the go-to person for Festival and venue staff and volunteers and are able to work as part of a team to keep things running smoothly and on time. Your strong people skills are able to smooth even the most ruffled feathers.

Box Office Support (Greeters)

As the first person most festival-goers will see, YOU are the face of the festival! Stationed at one of our theaters, you will provide information on all aspects of the program, direct the public and guests to the proper ticket booths and make sure lines are orderly and are kept moving. You have the ability to think on your feet and to be diplomatic, friendly and helpful. You will also assist the Box Office staff when it is needed, doing whatever is required to keep things running smoothly.

 

Theatre Assistants (Ticket Scanners)

We will be using TicketPro scanners to scan tickets and badges as people enter one of the theaters or festival venues. This position is extremely critical, as accurate attendance counts are vitally important to the Festival. As a Ticket Scanner you have the ability to learn Ticket Pro scanning technology, think on your feet and be diplomatic, friendly, and helpful. You will also assist the Box Office staff when it is needed, doing whatever is required to keep things running smoothly.

Commitment: Festival shifts plus pre-festival TicketPro training session
