Atlantic Filmmaker Focus: Bill Niven

The Atlantic Film Festival is a champion of Atlantic Canadian filmmakers. In keeping with this promise, every month we profile some of the most incredibly talented people in the filmmaking industry today. This month, we look at Halifax producer Bill Niven.

As part of The Shortest Day celebration, the Atlantic Film Festival offers free short film programs for kids and families at the NEW Halifax Central Library, December 20 & 21

The Atlantic Film Festival is pleased to partner with the National Film Board of Canada, Quebec’s SODEC, Telefilm Canada and the Halifax Central Library to screen two short film programs as part of The Shortest Day 2014 celebration of Canadian short films. The free screenings, including one Kids Program and one Family Program, will be presented at the NEW Halifax Central Library, December 20 and 21.

ViewFinders presents screening at 14th annual Silver Wave Film Festival in Fredericton, Nov. 8

A production of the Atlantic Film Festival, ViewFinders: Atlantic Film Festival For Youth will present a screening of short films at the 14th annual Silver Wave Film Festival at the Centre communautaire Sainte-Anne in Fredericton this Saturday, November 8 at 12 noon. Admission is free.

“The Silver Wave organizers are thrilled to be partnering with ViewFinders: Atlantic Film Festival For Youth for the first time this year,” said Cat LeBlanc, Silver Wave Film Festival Organizer. “The collection of youth films they are showcasing in our Silver Wave Youth program are stellar.”
