Dramatic Television Incubator supports transitioning producers at Strategic Partners 2016

Endless creative potential. Less risk-averse. Captures short attention spans. Allows more time to shine. They’re all factors prompting directors, producers, writers and actors to move from feature films to television. True Detective, The Knick, and The Strain are just a few Hollywood examples.
Strategic Partners 2016, presented by the Atlantic Film Festival from Sept. 15-17, is easing that transition with its Dramatic Television Incubator. Now in its second year, the program targets mid- to senior-level producers who have a dramatic series in development, with a broadcaster attached, and face a learning curve as they transition to the new medium.

The ViewFinders: Atlantic Film Festival for Youth, a festival of film, video and media for youth, have announced its award-winners for the ViewFinders Youth Film Competition presented by DHX Media. The screening took place at the Scotiabank Theatre Halifax, June 4th. 

2016 Script Development Program - Call for Feature Film Outlines

The Atlantic Film Festival is looking for the best and most talented writers from the Atlantic region to participate in our annual Script Development Program. Presented by Telefilm Canada & The Harold Greenberg Fund, this program offers a unique opportunity for Atlantic Canadian writers to develop their feature film ideas from an outline into a treatment and finally into a rough first draft.
